Your parent's computer, fixed — without the four-hour drive.
You book it and pay for it. They get a patient UK engineer on their screen who explains everything in plain English and never rushes them. Most problems sorted within the hour.
Built around the worries you actually have
Safe from scams
They never discuss money with anyone. You handle the booking and payment, so there's nothing for a scammer to imitate. Access ends when the session ends — nothing is left on their machine.
They see everything
The engineer's actions happen on their screen in front of them. No hidden windows, no mystery. They can end the session at any moment by closing it.
You can be involved
Want to be on the phone with them while it happens? Plenty of families do exactly that. We'll talk you both through it.
How it works
You book and tell us what's wrong
Describe the problem in plain English — 'the email's stopped working' is plenty. You pay the fixed price, agreed up front.
We send your parent a simple link
They open it, read out a one-time code, and click Allow. Three steps. If they get stuck, we talk them through it patiently — that's the job.
Fixed, and explained
The engineer fixes the problem while they watch, explains what happened in normal words, and tells them how to avoid it next time. You get a summary by email.
The one-off setup that stops most future panics
Most calls we get from families are the same five problems. A single setup session prevents most of them:
- Updates set to install properly, so Windows never ambushes them
- A good ad blocker, so the scary fake virus pop-ups never appear
- A password manager with one master password — no more notebook of passwords
- Automatic backups, so photos and documents survive any failure
- A tidy desktop with big, labelled shortcuts for the things they actually use
- Our details saved on their desktop, so real help is one click away
Questions families ask us
My parent lives hours away. Can you still help?▾
Yes — that's exactly what remote support is for. As long as their computer turns on and connects to the internet, an engineer can see their screen and fix the problem from here. Distance doesn't matter.
My mum isn't confident with technology. How does she start a session?▾
We keep it to three steps: she opens a link we send, reads out a one-time code, and clicks Allow. If that sounds like too much, you can be on the phone with her while it happens — many families do it that way.
How do I know this isn't a scam? She's been targeted before.▾
Fair question, and the right one to ask. You book and pay, not her. She never speaks to anyone about money. The session only starts when she clicks Allow, she can watch everything on her screen, and access ends completely when the session ends. Read our scam safety page for the full list of what we'll never do.
Can you set things up so problems stop happening?▾
Often, yes. Automatic updates done properly, a decent ad blocker, a password manager she only needs one password for, and backups that run on their own. An hour of setup prevents most of the panicked phone calls.
